Ingredients

  • ¼ cup of Butter (unsalted is preferred but not necessary)
  • ¼ cup of Franks Red Hot Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of Sugar

Add if you want more of a kick

  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

Feeling a little dangerous? Add

  • 1 Tsp of Sambal Oelek

For Crispy Wings cover with baking powder before cooking

  • 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp of Fine Salt
  • 2 Tsp of Garlic Powder (for some extra flavour)

Simple steps

STEP 1

Thoroughly pat dry the chicken with a paper towel. Preheat the oven to 400˚F Minimum for Crispy Wings. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack over the pan. (Can also be cooked in only the pan) *** These are also BBQ recommended

STEP 2

Combine the baking powder, salt and garlic powder in a bowl, sprinkle over the chicken and toss to combine. Arrange chicken on the prepared wire rack.

STEP 3

Bake the chicken for 15 to 20 minutes, flip it over and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp and cooked through. (Best to always use a thermometer to confirm a temperature of 165 F is achieved)

STEP 4

In a medium-size bowl combine sauce ingredients. Remove chicken from the baking sheet to a bowl. Drizzle the sauce over the chicken. Toss to coat the chicken in the sauce. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Extra Tips

Sauce works the best if you make it a few hours or the day before use. This causes the butter to slightly resolidify coating the wings with more sauce and flavour.
